The Golden State Warriors have been forced to deal with multiple problems throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.
Previously, the Warriors were focused on helping their veteran players, such as Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins, get back into form.
However, Jonathan Kuminga’s comments about no longer having faith in head coach Steve Kerr made headlines.
While many expected it would mean a trade request from the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Kuminga seemingly sorted out his differences with coach Kerr, as revealed via Anthony Slater on Twitter.
“I love it here. I got drafted here. There’s always ups and downs. I feel like when you look at all the ups and downs, that will confuse a lot of people,” Kuminga said.
Jonathan Kuminga and Steve Kerr met Friday. Kuminga said it “went well” and appears to have quieted his concerns. Kuminga on his standing with Kerr/Warriors: “I love it here.”

Kuminga seemingly changed his stance on his relationship with the Warriors.
After all, in just a matter of days, Kuminga went from losing faith in Steve Kerr to claiming that he loves playing for the Golden State Warriors.
To be honest, it could have been a ruse on Kuminga’s part to force the head coach to award him with extended minutes in games.
After all, following his 1-on-1 meeting with Kerr, Kuminga played a season-high 36 minutes against the Detroit Pistons.
While the Warriors registered a close yet much-needed 113-109 win over the Pistons, Kuminga didn’t play a huge role in it.
In 36 minutes of playing time, Kuminga put up just 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist for the Warriors.
However, it would be too soon to judge the young forward.
If he fails to impress even after being granted multiple opportunities to play more than 30 minutes in a game, then it would be concerning for the organization.
On the other hand, if Kuminga succeeds in finding form as one of the starters on the team while playing quality minutes, he may help the Warriors in turning their season around.
