The San Antonio Spurs entered the 2023-2024 NBA Season with many hopes and expectations.

They selected Victor Wembanyama, one of the most highly sought-after players in recent history, with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

While the Spurs’ record is less than ideal, they can feel confident with Wembanyama moving forward, given how he has progressed throughout the season.

He might have started slower than fans initially expected, but he has quickly made up for it, as evidenced by a recent graphic shared by NBA TV.

Wembanyama recorded his first career triple-double against the Detroit Pistons last night, the youngest center to achieve this in NBA history.

He only needed 21 minutes to accomplish this feat, a sign that, when given the opportunity, he possesses the skills to take over a game at a moment’s notice.

Of course, the Spurs were taking on the Detroit Pistons in this matchup, which caused some fans to put an asterisk next to this record.

Similarly to the Spurs, the Pistons are one of the worst overall teams in the NBA and currently hold the worst record in the league.

The Spurs blew out the Pistons on this historic night, another potential knock for Wenbanyama’s accomplishment.

While some have tried to diminish Wembanyama’s night, ultimately, nobody can take this away from him.

He earned every point, rebound, and assist, and now he stands in the NBA record books until someone dethrones him.

Wembanyama’s success seems to grow every week.

Can the Spurs find a way to turn his production into more wins?
