Analyst Believes Eagles Should Make 1 Move If They Lose To Bucs

The Philadelphia Eagles imploded in the second half of the season.

They had the best record in the league at some point, but they couldn’t keep that momentum going for long.

They’re now the No. 5 seed and wasted a golden chance to clinch their divisional title and secure a couple of games at home.

That’s why they’ll have to hit the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their stout defense, and that’s not going to be an easy challenge.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton predicted that a loss in the Wild Card round should result in Nick Sirianni getting fired.

On top of that, he believes they should go after Bill Belichick if that happens, as they have a solid offensive line and a quarterback Belichick could respect, so he could be in charge of solving their defensive issues.

“If Philadelphia loses to Tampa, get rid of Sirianni, he ain’t the guy. Go get Bill Belichick,” Carton said.

Truth be told, it’s hard to envision Belichick joining the Eagles or the team even pursuing him, all things considered, but it wouldn’t be crazy to see them parting ways with Sirianni if they go one-and-done in the postseason.

Sirianni seemed to have lost his way and the locker room.

The players look out of sorts and lacking confidence, and his shake-up of the defensive staff didn’t do much to help his case.

The Eagles could still flip the switch and go back to being the same team they were last season and in the first two months of the campaign, but it seems just too late now.
