Not too long ago, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was considered one of the best head coaches in the NBA.
He presided over a dynasty and guided the Warriors to four world championships in an eight-season span, and with young players such as Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney, and Jordan Poole, they appeared to have a shot at a fifth ring.
But Poole has since departed, while Wiggins and Kuminga have been disappointments this season.
Lately, even Stephen Curry, the hub of Golden State’s dynasty, has been struggling, and the team has suffered through back-to-back blowout losses at the hands of the Toronto Raptors and New Orleans Pelicans at home.
ESPN personality Kendrick Perkins laid the blame on Kerr for not giving his team any real spirit.
“Steve Kerr is getting exposed. The spirit comes from the coach,” Perkins said.

It appears the Warriors are dying on the vine before everyone’s eyes, and it has been happening fast.
They won their last title just two seasons ago, and at that time, it appeared they had plenty left in the tank, only to put forth a desultory 2022-23 campaign that ended with a second-round playoff loss.
Last season, the Warriors were strong at home but were just 11-30 on the road and were very weak defensively away from Chase Center.
This year, there has been tension between Kerr and Kuminga — Kuminga publicly called out the coach and feels Kerr will not allow him to reach his full potential.
Now, the Warriors’ season has devolved to the point where many are wondering if management will look to pull off a big trade in order to salvage what remains of Curry’s prime.
