The Philadelphia Eagles are trending in the wrong direction ahead of their Monday night Wild Card clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They’ve lost five of their past six games and are dealing with injuries to quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Brown might even miss the game with the knee injury he suffered in the Week 18 loss to the New York Giants.
But more than that, Brown made some curious social media moves this week.
The veteran wideout deleted his X (formerly Twitter) account and removed all mentions of the Eagles from his Instagram account.

Now, this could be much ado about nothing – athletes go on social media hiatuses all the time during critical moments in their careers.
But the timing is odd considering all the negative energy around the Eagles lately.
Brown’s decision to delete the Eagles references from his Instagram account are also more indicative of a contract disagreement rather than a social media cleanse, even though Brown still has three more years left on his deal.
Whatever is happening with Brown and the Eagles isn’t a good sign heading into the playoffs.
If Philadelphia loses, the team will have to take a hard look at itself and evaluate what it needs to do to return to the same team that made the Super Bowl a year ago, whether that means personnel moves, coaching changes, or both.
Something has to give with these Eagles, and Brown appears fed up with what they’ve been going through lately.
