Other than the NFL playoffs, the most intriguing storyline in the league is who will fill the coaching vacancies that have popped up.
Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll left the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, respectively, this week, and although both men are in their early 70s, many expect to see them coaching again this September when the new season starts.
One team that has a head coaching opening is the Los Angeles Chargers, and Ross Tucker said on “The Dan Patrick Show” that they’re the most attractive coaching spot that’s open right now.
“The Chargers have a Top 10 QB. Nobody disputes that. That should be where you want to go.”

The attractiveness of the Chargers starts with their quarterback, Justin Herbert, who is one of the top 10 at his position, if not an elite one.
He is one of the game’s most physically imposing quarterbacks, and although his numbers were down this season, he remains a prolific passer.
The Chargers also have studs in Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen, dual-threat running back Austin Ekeler (who is about to become a free agent), and pass rushers Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa.
However, they have been unable to stay healthy the last couple of seasons, and their salary cap situation is difficult.
Many Bolts fans want the team to hire Jim Harbaugh, who just led the University of Michigan to the College Football Playoff National Championship and had success with the San Francisco 49ers a decade ago.
The team isn’t new to L.A. anymore, and it’s time for it to spare no expense in order to win big, the way other pro sports teams in the area have over the years.
