The Golden State Warriors suffered back-to-back losses before facing off against the Chicago Bulls this Friday during the 2023-24 NBA season.

With the Warriors entering the matchup with a two-game losing streak, not many had high hopes for the 2022 NBA champions.

However, behind stellar performances from the likes of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Jonathan Kuminga, the Warriors managed to register a 140-131 win against the Chicago Bulls.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr didn’t shy away from praising the performances of Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.

“Maybe the best game he’s played,” Kerr said of Kuminga.

Over the last few weeks, Steve Kerr has been divided about giving minutes to Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga.

As a result, it seemingly created a poor environment to play, at least for Kuminga.

However, coach Kerr has seemingly found a way to keep both Wiggins and Kuminga happy and satisfied with their role on the team.

Speaking of their performances, Wiggins played 31 minutes against the Bulls and put up 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists for the Warriors.

On the other hand, Kuminga had a fantastic game where he contributed 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in 24 minutes of playing time coming off the bench.

Kerr went as far as saying that this was arguably Kuminga’s best performance of the year so far.

Jonathan Kuminga was selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and since his inclusion onto the roster, the star forward has been slowly but surely growing as a player.

Many believe Kuminga is one of the players who can take the team back to their glory days in the coming years.
