Following the New York Knicks’ most recent win against the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2023-24 NBA season, Tom Thibodeau won the 500th game of his NBA head coaching career.
Thibodeau has been connected to the league since the 1989-90 season when he joined the Minnesota Timberwolves as an assistant coach.
However, Thibodeau was given his first shot as a head coach by the Chicago Bulls in the 2010-11 NBA season.
He led the Bulls to an impressive 62-20 record and also bagged the 2011 NBA Coach of the Year award.
Throughout his career, Thibodeau has coached 873 games and currently has a 500-373 record.
In simple terms, Thibodeau has won 57.3% of his head coaching career.
As of now, the Knicks have a 23-16 record this season and hold the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Thibodeau is yet to win an NBA Championship as head coach and will certainly hope to achieve that dream this season.
