The Los Angeles Lakers are truly in a slump right now.

They have an underwhelming 3-7 record in their last 10 games of the 2023-24 NBA season.

Considering the Lakers were viewed as one of the best teams heading into the season, the campaign hasn’t panned out in favor of the franchise.

The Lakers’ most recent defeat came against the Utah Jazz.

Despite ending up on the losing side, D’Angelo Russell had a remarkable performance and gained huge praise from the NBA community.

After the game, Russell made his thoughts clear on the loss via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.

“Everybody’s gotta have an imprint on the game for us to win,” Russell said.

While Russell had a great game, winning a matchup in the NBA takes a lot more than just a single player to have a remarkable performance.

It was evident from Russell’s comments as the Lakers veteran guard pointed out that in order to win a game, every player on the roster needs to have an imprint.

Russell did his part successfully, as he contributed 39 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks for the Lakers, but it wasn’t enough to stop the team from suffering a 125-132 defeat.

Unfortunately, it was none other than Anthony Davis who failed to impress fans with his performance against the Utah Jazz.

Davis may have recorded a triple-double, but his efficiency was poor.

The 2020 NBA champion shot an abysmal 5-of-21 from the field.

Apart from Davis, almost every player played their role to perfection against the Jazz.
