The Los Angeles Rams found their way into the playoffs despite their slow start to the year.
They dealt with significant injuries up and down their roster but won the necessary games to get it done down the stretch.
While it felt like the team had momentum heading into their matchup with the Detroit Lions on Sunday, they fell short of victory.
Some coaches might have used this as an opportunity to talk about their shortcomings, but Sean McVay took the time to express his gratitude.
McVay said the Rams “helped me find my way again and how much I love this and love the people that I’m around.”
“They helped me find my way again.”

This is a far cry from a year ago when it seemed like McVay was considering retiring.
He ended up sticking around, which was ultimately the best decision for him and his family.
With a better attitude and vigor for coaching again, McVay might have the energy to continue coaching into 2024 and beyond.
McVay was labeled as a coaching prodigy early on in his career, something that is accompanied by a lot of weight.
He has been under tremendous pressure over the past several years, and while the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021, it felt like the team would struggle after going all-in that season.
Matthew Stafford’s veteran leadership has been an imperative part of this locker room, a significant reason the Rams made the Super Bowl in the first place.
While the future is uncertain for the Rams heading into 2024, McVay seems more confident than ever before.
