The Dallas Cowboys managed to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to win the NFC East Division, which seemed out of reach at the beginning of the season.
Despite some disappointing games against winning teams, they still managed to secure the No. 2 seed in the NFC, all but guaranteeing they could have two home games in the playoffs.
That possibility no longer exists, as they crumbled under pressure — again — and dropped the ball against the No. 7 seeded Green Bay Packers.
With that in mind, NFL legend Terry Bradshaw argued that perhaps it’s time to move on from Mike McCarthy (via FOX Sports NFL).
The Steelers legend argued that one would think that three consecutive seasons of going 12-5 should be enough for a guy to keep his job most of the time, but it has become evident that Jerry Jones is losing his patience, and this Cowboys team has definitely underachieved.
“This is a football team, that honestly, they’ve underachieved,” Bradshaw said.

Anybody can lose at some point, and the Cowboys weren’t considered the best team in the NFC.
But there are ways of losing and opponents you’re simply not supposed to lose to.
A close loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game could’ve been enough for McCarthy to hold onto his job for at least another season.
Then again, there was simply no excuse for getting blown out by the youngest team in the playoffs at home, especially considering how much talent they had on both sides of the field, and it’s hard to think Coach McCarthy will be able to survive through this in Dallas.
