The Indiana Pacers have been an exciting team to watch this season, even making it all the way to the inaugural In-Season Tournament final.

They push the pace better than anybody else in the league and can outscore the best offensive teams in the league with their combination of speed, shooting, and playmaking.

Then again, they feel like they’re missing some size and veteran leadership, which is why they’re reportedly so high on Pascal Siakam right now.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pacers are actually so high on Siakam that they’re willing to give way as many as three first-round picks to get him (via Run It Back).

“This is where talks stand right now, Indiana is very much pushing and motivated to get a deal done.”@ShamsCharania updates on the Pacers interest in Pascal Siakam.

Charania claims that the Pacers are unwilling to part ways with Jarace Walker or Bennedict Mathurin to get this deal done, but they do feel comfortable giving up the picks.

Siakam is going to become a free agent at the end of the season, and he has reportedly let teams know that he won’t commit to re-signing with whoever trades for him, which has obviously taken a toll on his trade value and leverage.

Nonetheless, Charania reports that the Pacers are confident in their ability to keep him around for the long run, which is why they’re willing to give up so much to get him.
