The New York Knicks made the first impactful move of the season by finally giving up on RJ Barrett and landing OG Anunoby.

Of course, losing Immanuel Quickley was a big blow, but it was necessary to get the deal done, and he was likely to walk away as a free agent anyway.

Still, Tom Thibodeau’s team continues to stay active in the trade market, and they’re reportedly trying to get rid of two guys who will never see the court for significant minutes.

According to Mike Scotto of HoopsHype, the Knicks are shopping SGs Quentin Grimes and Evan Fournier alongside draft compensation to upgrade their roster.

This is far from a surprise, as Fournier has made it loud and clear that he’s never going to get out of Tom Thibodeau’s doghouse, as his coach has refused to give him significant minutes.

Grimes, on the other hand, also called out the coach and claimed that he played with fear of missing a shot because he knew he wasn’t going to get back in the game.

Then again, Fournier does have a big contract and no takers, so they’ll likely have to attach draft assets to him to make him moveable.

The Knicks are one piece away from being a top-tier team, and perhaps their out-of-favor guys might be what they need to get that piece once and for all.
