The Toronto Raptors’ rebuild continues underway.

Shortly after parting ways with OG Anunoby, Masai Ujiri finally found a trade partner for Pascal Siakam.

The Raptors got a major haul for Siakam, especially considering the fact that he’s going to become a free agent at the end of the season.

They got three first-round picks, Kira Lewis and Bruce Brown, for Siakam, a 29-year-old player who’s going to be their third-scoring option.

Notably, it didn’t take long before Brown made himself comfortable up north.

According to a report by SportsNet Canada (via Legion Hoops), Brown paid fellow teammate Jontay Porter $10,000 for the right to wear the No. 11 jersey with the Raptors.

That’s a big flex for one of the biggest winners of the offseason.

Brown never truly meshed with the Pacers’ run-and-gun offensive system, mostly because of how stacked they were in the backcourt.

Now, the craziest part about this is that he may not even finish the season in Toronto.

Brown could be a highly sought-after character around the league ahead of the trade deadline, and the Raptors might even be able to get another first-round pick for his services.

He’s an outstanding backcourt defender who has proven to be able to hold his own against bigger players, an explosive scorer in the open court, and a great slasher with a high basketball IQ.

Hopefully, he won’t have to pay more money to wear his No. 11 wherever he goes.
