The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rallied late in the season to secure the NFC South Division title and make the playoffs.
Then, when the free-falling Philadelphia Eagles were in town, they took care of business to reach the NFC Divisional Round, something that sounded almost impossible at the beginning of the campaign.
Baker Mayfield has been very solid for most of the season, even playing through injury to lead his team to success.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Mark Schlereth raved about how better Mayfield is when he’s under heavy pressure and in critical moments (Via NFL on FOX Podcast).
“He has been uncanny, especially the second half of this season, to perform his best in the most critical moments,” Schlereth said.

Contrary to what happens to most people, Mayfield actually rises to the occasion in crucial moments and situations; he’s been like that since his days in college with the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Bucs will have a tough challenge ahead of them in their next game.
They’ll hit the road to face the red-hot Detroit Lions in a very hostile environment.
Then again, that shouldn’t be anything new for Mayfield, who’s been dealing with boos and jeers for the most part of his career.
He feeds off the criticism, and he’s proven that he shouldn’t be counted out yet.
Mayfield brought his career back to life this season, and his chemistry with OC Dave Canales and his stellar corps of wide receivers has been more than evident.
The Bucs are 6.5-point underdogs on their trip to Detroit, but this game could be closer than oddsmakers predicted.
