Although the game was close at times, the Minnesota Timberwolves walked away with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night, beating the team 118-103 and bringing their record to 30-11.
The Timberwolves remain the best team in the Western Conference and that is partly due to the hard work and amazing skills of Anthony Edwards.
On Friday’s “First Take,” Stephen A. Smith spoke about Edwards and compared him to three NBA legends: Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan.
Calling Edwards “box office” and a “showstopper,” he said that Edwards is worthy of all the praise he is getting.

During Thursday’s game, Edwards scored 28 points and 10 assists.
He also created one of the best dunks of the year so far, which definitely caught the eye of Smith and many others.
Edwards has been phenomenal this season, averaging 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5 assists on 46.5% from the floor.
Now in his fourth year in the league, Edwards is putting up some of his best numbers yet and has become a definitive, central piece of the Timberwolves’ success.
He earned his first All-Star appearance last year – will he do it again this year?
More importantly, will Edwards help lead his team far into the playoffs and possibly even to the NBA Finals?
When the season began, some people thought that idea was far-fetched even as Minnesota scored a lot of wins.
But a few months have gone by and the Timberwolves remain dominant and have defeated some very tough teams.
They look and feel like the real deal and there is no doubt that Edwards is helping with that.
Edwards is indeed one of the best NBA players around right now and he certainly does resemble the three legends that Smith listed.
