The New York Knicks are in a good place right now, with the storied franchise currently sitting in fifth place in the Eastern Conference behind the Cleveland Cavaliers with a record of 25-17.
Although the Knicks are riding high right now, especially after winning eight of their last 10 games, New York seems to be aggressive in their attempts to be a legitimate title contender this season, as they have already upgraded defensively with OG Anunoby and appear to want more before the NBA trade deadline.
The Knicks have been linked to Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks, but it remains to be seen whether the team is serious about making another big move before the deadline.
Zach Lowe of ESPN believes that the Knicks may not need to make another deal right now as this team could very well end up being in the Eastern Conference Finals, via NBA on ESPN.

That’s a pretty bold statement to make with so many talented teams in the East this season, with the Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Boston Celtics sitting ahead of them in the standings.
However, as Lowe pointed out, all it will take is a rolled ankle of a star player for things to change in the East, with the Knicks benefiting and potentially being matched up with the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Even though Lowe thinks the team doesn’t need to make a move, the Knicks brass might be thinking a bit differently, as this new aggressive mindset seems to be helping rather than hurting them right now.
