The Los Angeles Lakers were viewed as one of the best teams in the NBA heading into the 2023-24 season.
However, with more than half of the regular season already over, the Lakers have struggled for most of the campaign.
Outside of the team’s excellent run during the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, the Lakers haven’t really played with a chip on their shoulders.
Many have blamed head coach Darvin Ham for his lack of coaching strategies being the root cause of the Lakers’ problems this season.
Speaking of Darvin Ham, the second-year head coach of the Lakers shared his honest thoughts on the team’s most recent defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.
“It’s over for the excuses, man. We got to play basketball,” Ham said.

Darvin Ham hardly loses his calm aura despite suffering losses against opponents in the NBA.
However, Ham is seemingly done with the Lakers making excuses for their poor performances this season.
He wants his players to play a good brand of basketball on a nightly basis so they can avoid suffering similar losses as they did against the Nets.
The final score stood at 130-112 in favor of the Nets following a poor second-half performance from the Lakers.
To put things into perspective, the Lakers were outscored 68-44 in the second half of the game, which helped the Nets easily handle business against the 17-time NBA champions.
The Lakers remain the 10th seed in the Western Conference and with a 21-22 record right now, it may finally be time for the franchise to hit the panic button.
