When Ben Simmons was drafted into the league as the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, he was viewed as someone with huge potential.
While Simmons did fulfill those expectations for the first few years of his career, he fell off the top of the pedestal in the 2021-22 NBA season.
Simmons missed the entire season initially due to his controversy with the Philadelphia 76ers, which led to him getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
However, Simmons ended up missing the rest of the season due to a back injury.
Since then, Simmons has become an inconsistent player, hardly playing in the NBA.
To put things into perspective, a graphic highlights how many games Simmons has played throughout his career, as revealed via Legion Hoops on Twitter.

In the last three seasons, Simmons has played just 48 games combined, which is a concerning stat for the three-time NBA All-Star.
Ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season, Simmons made several claims about having the best season of his career.
However, Simmons played in just six games this season before being sidelined due to a back injury.
As a result, the Brooklyn Nets have struggled to win games consistently throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.
But the Nets have shown their true caliber several times this season.
Most recently, the Nets registered a solid 130-112 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Following the win, the Brooklyn Nets are now the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with an underwhelming 17-24 record this season.
