The Brooklyn Nets shocked the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, beating them in LA 130-112.

Cam Thomas was prominent in the victory, scoring 33 points off the bench on the way to Brooklyn’s big win.

After the game, Thomas spoke with the press about how he is perceived and spoken about in the league.

Thomas said that “the goal posts always move” for him and his output, according to a video shared by ClutchPoints.

“When people now score all these points, it’s all praise. But when I used to do it, it’s always a knock. ‘He can’t play defense. He doesn’t pass.’ But when I see other people doing the same thing, it’s praise,” Thomas said.

Thomas is in his third year in the NBA and is clearly having his best season yet.

He is averaging 20.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

That’s a major step up from last season, when Thomas recorded 10.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.

Like many players on the Nets, Thomas has received more time on the floor since the departures of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

He has also been starting in more games too.

The Nets are the 11th team in the East and hold a lacking 17-24 record, but the hard work of Thomas is giving fans something to believe in.

They can envision a future where Thomas and the rest of the team continues to enhance their skills and get better, eventually becoming true playoff contenders.

The Nets have several players who might not be household names but are still doing very strong work for the team.

Thomas has heard what people say about him but he’s trying to focus solely on helping his team improve.
