The Toronto Raptors recently made headlines for finally trading away their star forward, Pascal Siakam, to the Indiana Pacers.

Although Siakam has started a new chapter in his career, the spotlight is yet to be taken off the Raptors.

A key reason behind that is the fact that the Raptors currently have Bruce Brown Jr. on the roster.

While Brown Jr. isn’t exactly a grade-A superstar, he proved his worth in the 2023 playoffs when it mattered the most.

Keeping that in mind, it’s no surprise that the New York Knicks are among the teams interested in trading for the 2023 NBA champion.

Well, as it turns out, Bruce Brown Jr. is apparently confident in his ability to play under a head coach like Tom Thibodeau if he gets traded to the Knicks, as revealed via Jared Schwartz on Twitter.

“I am a dog. … I can do just about whatever [Tom Thibodeau] needs me to do,” Brown Jr. claimed.

Apart from claiming that he can virtually do anything that Tom Thibodeau may ask him as a player, Bruce Brown Jr. also shared his love for New York City.

Considering the Knicks are one of the biggest markets in the NBA, it could be a great move for Brown Jr.’s next step in his basketball career.

Moreover, the Knicks are certainly open to improving their roster by adding excellent veterans.

A perfect example of this was the Knicks’ previous trade with the Raptors to acquire OG Anunoby.

As for Brown Jr., he is averaging 12.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game in the 2023-24 NBA season.

While his numbers may not pop out of the box score, he certainly has another gear to enter come playoff time.
