After an inspired win over the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the NFL playoffs, followed up with an impressive win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round, the Detroit Lions are headed to the NFC Championship Game to take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.

One veteran player on the Lions who deserves a lot of credit for Detroit getting this far and having success against the Rams and Buccaneers is All-Pro center Frank Ragnow, who has been battling knee and ankle injuries but powered through to help the team advance to take on the 49ers.

After the Lions were able to come out on top against the Buccaneers and punch their ticket to the NFC Championship Game, head coach Dan Campbell made sure to give Ragnow some much-needed praise for sacrificing his body for the team, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

#Lions coach Dan Campbell told reporters: “It’s like, man, you may not be 100%. But if you feel like you can produce and you can win at 80% of yourself — and that’s what Frank does. He believes he can. He trusts himself and he trusts those guys next to him.” https://t.co/MTvJdh0JFB

As Rapoport points out, Ragnow, despite his injury issues, is expected to play in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers on the road at Levi’s Stadium.

Unlike their last two playoff games at home in Detroit at Ford Field, the Lions will be heavy underdogs this Sunday when they travel to the Bay Area to take on Brock Purdy and company.

Jared Goff and his squad will be put to the test yet again in the postseason as they try to take down the top-seeded 49ers, who got all that they could handle last weekend against the better-than-expected Green Bay Packers.
