The Milwaukee Bucks are currently viewed as one of the best teams in the 2023-24 NBA season.

After all, the Bucks have a sensational 30-13 record in the league and they hold the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

However, even though the Bucks seemed like one of the favorites to win the 2024 NBA Championship under the coaching of Adrian Griffin, the organization has decided to part ways with the first-time NBA head coach.

As of now, it’s unclear why the Bucks decided to let go of Griffin, who replaced championship-winning head coach Mike Budenholzer this past summer.

But it seems like the Bucks already have a couple of candidates in mind to replace Griffin.

Former Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers is currently considered a serious candidate for the job, as revealed via Shams Charania.

Doc Rivers rose to stardom as one of the best head coaches in the NBA after leading the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA Championship.

Since then, Rivers has tried repeating the same with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers, but didn’t succeed in doing so.

Considering Rivers’ back-to-back failures to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a deep playoff run, the veteran head coach was sacked by the franchise in the offseason.

Since then, Rivers hasn’t really been linked to any NBA franchises, but with the departure of Adrian Griffin from the Bucks, he could land that job.

With the dynamic duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard on the roster, Rivers would have a perfect chance to lead the Bucks to an NBA Championship this season.
