The NBA All-Star Game starters were announced on Thursday and, as always, they generated quite a strong response.
Many people were happy with the players who made the list but others were disappointed to not see their favorites.
Kendrick Perkins was definitely upset about Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves missing out on the starting five.
On Twitter, Perkins said: “Ant Edwards continues to be disrespected. Something else that needs to be addressed tomorrow.”

The Western Conference starting five consists of Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns, and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets.
If Edwards would have made the list, Doncic or Gilgeous-Alexander would have been excluded.
In the end, it seems that Edwards just didn’t have more support than those two explosive stars.
That being said, he could still definitely make the All-Star Game next month, thanks to the group of reserves that will be revealed on February 1.
With enough love from the fans, Edwards could be included in that list and could get plenty of minutes on the floor during the event.
Regardless of his inclusion in the All-Star Game, no one can deny that Edwards is having a stunning season.
He has an average of 25.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists on 45.8% from the floor and 37.4% from the three-point line.
Meanwhile, his Timberwolves are also having one of their best years ever and are the top team in the West with a 32-13 record.
Being part of the All-Star Game is obviously a huge honor for any NBA star but it’s not the only measure of success.
Edwards is having a wildly impressive season, no matter if he makes it to Indianapolis or not.
