With the first half of the 2023-24 NBA regular season officially in the books, the New York Knicks are starting to look like a team that could make some noise in the Eastern Conference this year, with Jalen Brunson and company firing on all cylinders and the team willing to make moves.
Although the Knicks gave up two talented young players, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, in a recent trade for OG Anunoby, New York seems to have made the right move, as the team is currently sporting a record of 28-17.
Heading toward the NBA trade deadline on February 8, the storied franchise could make another move or two to upgrade the roster, potentially making the Knicks one of the best teams in the league.
In fact, there’s been so much optimism around the Knicks right now that Stephen A. Smith of ESPN believes this team might be able to make it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals, via NBA on ESPN.

With quite a few talented teams in the East this season, the Knicks making it to the conference finals might be a stretch unless the team makes a move or another top-tier team in the conference falls off or gets upset in the NBA playoffs.
Fortunately for New York, there’s still a lot of basketball left to be played, and the team seems to be only getting better while the prospect of bringing in more talent ahead of the trade deadline is looking more and more likely moving forward.
