The Cleveland Browns had to overcome so much during the 2023 NFL season just to make the playoffs, and they should consider this year a success.
The Browns lost several key starters on both ends of the field due to injury, yet somehow won enough games to make the Wild Card Round.
Although Cleveland was bounced by the Houston Texans, there’s plenty for the organization and the fans to be proud of.
However, the Browns face the pressure of trying to improve the roster to get over the hump in the AFC.
Wide receiver is a clear area of need for Cleveland as they relied heavily on Amari Cooper and David Njoku to uplift the passing game.
Several intriguing free agents could come in and help and it appears the team is already eyeing two notable receivers via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
“The Browns are likely to have interest in the following WRs this offseason per Mary Kay Cabot. Tee Higgins (If he’s not tagged or extended), Jaguars Calvin Ridley.”

Tee Higgins had a down year as he struggled with injury and inconsistent showings, but has the physical tools and talent to be a team’s No. 1 receiver.
Meanwhile, Calvin Ridley bounced back after his season-long suspension as he posted a 1,000-yard season in his first year with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Either Higgins or Ridley would be massive upgrades to the Browns’ receiver room and would fit nicely in head coach Kevin Stefanski’s scheme.
It feels like Cleveland will make some sort of impact addition to the wide receiver room and it’ll be interesting to see how they go about it.
