The Kansas City Chiefs may not be the same team that won Super Bowl LVII last year, but they remain a threat to repeat as champions.

The Chiefs won the AFC West again and have looked solid during the first two rounds of the 2023 NFL Playoffs.

However, Kansas City finds itself on the road for the second consecutive week where they’ll play the Baltimore Ravens.

It’s a clash of titans as the Ravens and Chiefs were considered the best teams in the conference this season, with the former being considered the favorites to advance to Super Bowl LVIII.

Patrick Mahomes has had to make do with a downgraded receiving corps, though the defense has been able to propel the team to wins.

As has been the case this postseason, the Chiefs offense will be missing Kadarius Toney against the Ravens via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Chiefs have downgraded WR Kadarius Toney (personal/hip) to out for Sunday at the Ravens,” Rapoport reported.

Toney hasn’t played in the postseason due to injuries, though the personal reasons designation is new.

The wideout came under fire during the regular season for several dropped passes and mistakes, and hasn’t really been missed during the playoffs.

It’s quite the fall for Toney who was once considered a huge get for Kansas City and is now being regulated to an afterthought.

Regardless, Mahomes will be relying on his main options Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice to move the football downfield and it’ll be interesting to see if he can overcome the stoutest defense in the league.
