It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash.
When the news initially broke, it was meant with widespread disbelief and shock and the basketball world has been mourning his loss since.
Bryant was truly a one-of-a-kind player and person because of his relentless drive to be the best player and person he could be.
After a Hall of Fame career on the basketball court, Bryant was able to transition into media and entertainment where he became the first athlete to win an Oscar.
On his death anniversary, several players and key figures in the league paid homage to the Lakers icon.
Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving shared a heartfelt message via his personal Twitter account.
“Missing you always Bean and Gigi @kobebryant. Please continue watching over the Tribe and celebrating with all of our loved ones that are in the spiritual/ancestral realm with y’all. Till we meet again,” Irving tweeted.
