The New York Knicks were stuck in mediocrity for an extended period of time before finally finding a worthy core of players in the 2022-23 NBA season.
After reaching the 2023 Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Knicks decided to further improve the team’s roster in the 2023-24 NBA season.
The biggest effort made by the front office toward that initiative was trading for OG Anunoby with the Toronto Raptors earlier this season.
So far, Anunoby has played 13 games for the Knicks, and his impact on the team is becoming more apparent with each passing game.
To put things into perspective, OG Anunoby has the highest plus-minus in the year 2024, as revealed via NBACentral on Twitter.

As mentioned in the tweet, Og Anunoby has the highest plus-minus in 2024, with a +/- of +239.
In simple terms, the Knicks have outscored their opponents by 239 points when he has been on the floor during games in 2024.
Now, that’s an amazing stat, and the Knicks undoubtedly made the correct decision by trading for Anunoby.
After Anunoby, it’s none other than his teammate Jalen Brunson, who has the second-highest plus-minus of 2024, with a +/- of +193.
It’s no surprise that the Knicks are currently one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference with a 28-17 record as they hold the fifth seed in the East.
Coming back to Anunoby’s time as a member of the Knicks, he has played 13 games for the team and has averaged 15.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for the team.
He is also shooting 51.0% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point line since joining the Knicks.
