The NBA has been around for almost eight decades, and throughout the history of the league, there have been a few players who have proven to be head and shoulders above the rest.
When someone speaks of such players, they can never leave the name of LeBron James off the list.
Even at 39 years old, James continues to impress basketball fans with his excellence, and a perfect example of this was his 36-point triple-double against the Golden State Warriors during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Following the impressive performance, which helped the Lakers register a 145-144 win over the Warriors, head coach Darvin Ham had high praise for James via Spectrum SportsNet.
“Just phenomenal, man. I’m so thankful that I get a chance to coach him… he’s our leader, he’s pushing through for us,” Ham said.

Darvin Ham didn’t try to hide his praise for LeBron James’ impressive performance against the Warriors.
So much so that the sophomore head coach mentioned that he is thankful for getting a chance to coach James.
While it may seem Ham went above and beyond to praise LeBron James, looking at the 39-year-old superstar’s performance against the Warriors, it makes sense.
James played 48 minutes in a double-overtime thriller and recorded 36 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists against the Warriors.
James also recorded a career-high in rebounds.
Considering he is playing his 21st NBA season, it goes without saying that pulling down 20 rebounds is a tougher task than many may give credit for.
As for his performance in the 2023-24 NBA season, the four-time NBA champion is averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game for the Los Angeles Lakers.
