Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will appear in their sixth consecutive AFC title game today and look to make the Super Bowl for the fourth time since 2018.
They’ll have to dispatch the Baltimore Ravens, though, who took the No. 1 seed in the conference and demolished the upstart Houston Texans in the divisional round this past week.
So as he prepares for one of the biggest games of his career, Mahomes rocked a stylish maroon suit when he arrived at M&T Bank Stadium hours before the game (via James Palmer) and fans had plenty of comments about it.
Smugness personified.

This isn’t Mahomes’ first rodeo, and his outfit is just the most recent veteran move for the superstar quarterback.
A win today would give Mahomes and the Chiefs a shot to defend the Super Bowl title they won this past season as well.
But they’ve never faced the Ravens or Lamar Jackson in the postseason, and both proved to be formidable opponents for even the best in the NFL this season.
The Ravens’ defense ranks No. 1 in fewest points allowed this season and Jackson is playing at an MVP level in 2023.
But neither Baltimore’s defense nor Jackson have seen the might and power of a Mahomes-led postseason Chiefs squad.
Even without reliable pass-catchers, Kansas City powered its way to the conference title game with veteran tight end Travis Kelce, rookie wideout Rashee Rice, and second-year running back Isiah Pacheco.
That trio plus Mahomes under center still might not be enough to get past the Ravens, but they at least have the experience and talent to put up a good fight.
