Before the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs took on the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, controversial wide receiver Kadarius Toney went on a tirade on social media, claiming that he was healthy enough to play in the game.

Toney’s tirade on social media was shocking, to say the least, as he went off and clearly was unhappy about how he is being treated by the Chiefs’ medical staff, especially ahead of such a big game.

With Toney flying off the chain in the way he did, which must’ve angered the team, especially legendary head coach Andy Reid, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see the team shut him down for the season or even release him.

However, it doesn’t seem as though Reid is ready to do that, as he claims that the disgruntled wide receiver will get back on the field and that the injury report was not made up via Sports Radio 810 WHB.

“He’ll be back out there,” Reid said.

With Toney not holding back during his social media outburst, it is a bit surprising that Reid would go in this direction or even consider playing him in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.

However, anything can happen between now and when the Chiefs go head-to-head with the 49ers at Allegiant Stadium on February 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with his Toney situation leading up to Super Bowl Sunday and whether he’ll actually get back on the field for the Chiefs.
