The Boston Celtics have been one of the best teams in the NBA this season.

With a 37-12 record, the Celtics hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

While their record might be great, some concerns are growing with this team.

The famous crew of NBA analysts on TNT recently discussed the current state of the Celtics, wondering if their recent loss is a trend that will continue in the second half of the season.

They discussed the Celtics’ recent loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, a game where the Lakers were without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Charles Barkley was honest about the Celtics, saying, “You have to win games in the playoffs on toughness,” adding, “This team, here, to me, they’ve got talent, but they’re mentally weak.”

“Worst loss of the season for the Celtics in your mind?” – Ernie Johnson

“Easily… You have to win games in the playoffs on toughness… You have to be mentally strong… This team here, to me, they’ve got great talent, but they’re mentally weak.” – Charles Barkley https://t.co/hfb1HowoQ7 pic.twitter.com/9eoMqXAjib

On paper, the Celtics have one of, if not the best roster in the entire league.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are their biggest stars, but they have several bench players who contribute in a big way.

Despite this talent, as Barkley indicates, the Celtics will need to dig deep moving forward if they want any chance of getting back to the NBA Finals.

They have dominated the East to this point in the year, but they cannot afford any more losses of this magnitude.

In Barkley’s mind, it wasn’t so much that they lost this game, as it was that the Celtics weren’t mentally tough enough to slug it out until the final buzzer sounded.
