The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to bolster their roster ahead of the trade deadline.
They’re reportedly keeping tabs on Atlanta Hawks point guard Dejounte Murray, among others.
The biggest issue they have right now is that they don’t have that many valuable trade assets, as most of their young players and role players have barely played and haven’t been very impressive this season.
D’Angelo Russell has been stellar over the past three weeks or so, either driving his trade value up or making a case for him to stay in Southern California.
Another point guard, however, has become quite expendable for Darvin Ham’s team.
According to a report by Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports (via NBA Central), the Lakers are trying to move on from Gabe Vincent, who they signed from the Miami Heat this offseason.

Vincent was instrumental in the Heat’s run to the NBA Finals last season, but he’s barely been able to suit up this year.
He’s made just five appearances with an average of roughly over 5 points and 3 assists per game.
Notably, former Heat role players have usually taken a big dip in their production as soon as they leave Erik Spoelstra’s system.
On top of that, he’s dealt with a knee injury for most of the campaign.
Vincent is in the first year of a three-year, $33 million contract, and it would be tough to think of a team looking to acquire him unless he comes attached with some draft capital, barring a major surprise.
