The Boston Celtics haven’t found much success against Los Angeles-based teams lately.
Not so long after their blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, they couldn’t keep up with a Los Angeles Lakers team that was missing their two best players.
Despite not having LeBron James or Anthony Davis due to injuries and being on the road, Darvin Ham’s team beat them in a game that was never actually close.
That’s why Jaylen Brown wanted to make it loud and clear for everybody out there that the players don’t take these things lightly and hold each other accountable after every loss (via Celtics on NBC Sports).
“We don’t sugarcoat it,” Brown said.

Brown claimed that they don’t sugarcoat things and know they must be better in these situations.
For years, this group of players has played down to their opponent’s level.
There have always been several doubts about Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown as a duo, not because of their playing style but because, at times, it seems like they lack the leadership skills to take their teams through tough patches.
They’re young, but they’ve been around the league for quite a while now, and they have plenty of experience in crunch time and crucial situations, so that excuse has run it’s course already.
Of course, anybody can lose a game in the NBA, that’s just the way it is, but this has become a worrisome trend for a team that has knocked on the door of another NBA championship for almost 15 years now.
