The Los Angeles Lakers were ready to play on Thursday night; the Boston Celtics were not.

Darvin Ham’s team took the TD Garden by storm, jumping to an early in the game, and they never let go of it.

It wasn’t a pretty outing for Joe Mazzulla’s team, and it seemed like they had kind of overlooked their rival.

The Lakers were without LeBron James and Anthony Davis because of injuries, and they had been blown out in back-to-back games.

With that in mind, All-Star PF/C Kristaps Porzingis wasn’t that worried about the loss, but he did acknowledge that the team needs to learn from these experiences to avoid them in the future (Via Celtics on NBC Sports).

“You win or you learn,” Porzingis said.

For years, this Celtics team has underperformed against subpar teams, often playing down to their level.

Brad Stevens has put together the most talented roster in the league, and they should have more than enough resources to go toe-to-toe with the strongest powerhouses out there.

They’ve been consistent for most of the season, but sometimes it feels like you just don’t know which version of them you’re going to get when they take the floor.

The Celtics still have the best record in the league and should have no trouble bouncing back from this loss.

Still, the fact that they dig themselves into big holes and struggle to come back in games could be a worrisome trend as they get ready to make a deep postseason run, as things won’t get any easier in the playoffs.
