On Thursday night, NBA fans were shocked at a new rumor saying LeBron James might be traded from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Since then, fans of just about every franchise have made the case why James should come to their team.
On “First Take,” Stephen A. Smith pleaded with the four-time champion to travel to New York.
“If LeBron James wants to put himself in position to win a championship, get traded to the New York Knicks,” Smith said calmly and with great intensity.

He then got very fired up when he spoke about how the coaching of Tom Thibodeau, the defense of the team, and the amazing work of Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, OG Anunoby, and others could help James claim his fifth ring.
He thinks the Knicks led by James would be able to move past the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and the rest of the Eastern Conference.
NBA fans better prepare to hear a lot more of this before next week’s trade deadline.
Until that deadline has passed, people are going to be thinking about James playing for the Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and practically every other team.
If James did want to leave and head to a team that had a strong chance of a great postseason, the Knicks would be a smart move.
They are already one of the best teams in the NBA right now, the third seed in the East, and have been surging over the last few weeks.
But they’d have an awful lot of competition to land James, who would shake up the entire league with a potential trade.
Right now, this is just a rumor that should be taken with a massive grain of salt but that doesn’t mean that analysts, writers, and fans won’t be dreaming up where James could go.
