LeBron James may be playing in the 21st season of his NBA career, but he remains one of the best players in the league.
Unfortunately, as talented as James is, at 39 years old, many believe that he is no longer able to carry the Los Angeles Lakers on his shoulders.
It’s evident from the fact that the Lakers are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 25-25 record.
Considering the Lakers’ underwhelming performance this season, it has sparked many rumors about the organization potentially planning to trade away James around the trade deadline.
The rumors have obviously caught a lot of attention in recent days following the Lakers’ impressive 114-105 win over the Boston Celtics in the absence of James.
However, despite what the rumors may suggest, James’ agent, Rich Paul, recently clarified that the four-time NBA champion won’t be traded, per ESPN via NBACentral.
“LeBron won’t be traded, and we aren’t asking to be,” Paul said.

Regardless of his age, James remains a huge draw for the Lakers organization.
Moreover, he has remained one of the biggest superstars in the league throughout his career, and if the Lakers decide to trade him, it would be disrespectful to him.
Keeping Paul’s comments in mind, any fan who was rooting for James to be traded soon will be disappointed.
After all, James may be the oldest player in the league, but he is still averaging 24.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game for the Lakers this season.
He is also shooting a remarkable 52.0% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point line.
