As usual, when we approach the NBA season’s trade deadline, the LeBron James cycle is in full effect.
James seems to make cryptic comments when his team is underperforming, and the deadline is around the corner.
This campaign wasn’t the exception to the rule, with the 21-year veteran sharing an hourglass emoji on Twitter to fuel speculation.
Some believed he was letting the team know that the clock was ticking and his time with them was coming to an end, while others stated it was a message for his soon-to-be former teammates.
That’s why he was asked to clarify what he meant, yet he declined.
Also, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, he claimed that he still doesn’t know what he’s going to do with his player option at the end of the season.
LeBron James declined to clarify what his hourglass emoji meant at shootaround Saturday.
He also cast further uncertainty on his Lakers future when asked about his player option for next season.

LeBron James’ teams have been at the center of countless trade proposals, both fake and real throughout his career.
There’s also the same-old speculation about whether he’s going to be traded or leave his team; we’ve seen this for over a decade.
That’s just the way he handles business.
At the end of the day, his critics will continue taking shots at him for all the times his teams have had to overhaul their rosters around him, and his fans will continue to side with him through thick and thin.
The trade deadline is just a handful of days away, and we’ll just have to wait and see if the Lakers make the moves he seems to want them to make.
