LeBron James is obviously in the twilight years of his NBA career.
Sure, James is not showing any major signs of decline, even at 39 years old, and it is certainly an incredible achievement by the Lakers superstar.
However, many believe that James is no longer capable of leading a team to the playoffs all by himself, unlike the prime of his career.
As a result. many Lakers fans want the organization to trade the 39-year-old superstar.
Keeping the rumors in mind, the New York Knicks have been floated as a potential destination for LeBron James if the Lakers indeed trade him.
Speaking of which, LeBron James having the Knicks towel on his shoulder during the postgame interview sparked rumors about the four-time NBA champion sending subtle signs via Awful Announcing on Twitter.

I’m not a Lebron fan at all, but who cares? It’s just a towel.

I think the visiting team is provided towels by the home team, hence the Knicks logo on there

While some fans believed that James was subtly requesting a trade to the Knicks following the viral clip, others believed there was no underlying message behind the video.
After all, it’s not uncommon for players to use the opposing team’s towels when playing in road games.
As of now, James has no plans to demand a trade from the Lakers and it was officially confirmed by his agent Rich Paul.
The Lakers shouldn’t hurry to move on from LeBron James, who had 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in the team’s recent matchup against the New York Knicks.
Following the impressive 113-105 win over the Knicks, the Lakers have improved their record to 26-25, but they remain the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
