The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will square off again in one of the most anticipated Super Bowl rematches we’ve had in years.
Needless to say, it’s never easy to make predictions at this point in the season, especially when you have two teams with that much talent on their rosters.
However, New York Giants star Saquon Barkley is leaning toward the 49ers.
Talking on ESPN’s “First Take,” the Penn State star claimed that one should never bet against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, especially considering the way their defense is paying right now.
Nonetheless, he also admitted that he’s a huge Christian McCaffrey fan and that he’s the best running back in the league nowadays, which is why he thinks the Niners will end up winning the big game.

Notably, Barkley also said that he’s going after McCaffrey’s top spot next season, but that will be easier said than done.
We all know that Barkley is one of the best running backs in the game when he’s healthy, but he’s struggled to stay on the field for most of his career.
That has led the Giants to kind of lowball him in contract negotiations, and he’s going to have a tough time finding his true market value somewhere else next season.
As for McCaffrey, he’s going to have his hands full against Steve Spagnuolo and his stellar defense, but if someone has proven that he can dominate regardless of the opposition, that’s definitely him.
