The New York Giants thought they were getting a star when they took Kadarius Toney with the No. 20 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
However, the Florida product made the rounds more often for his antics than for his production, up to the point where the team gave up on him and traded him to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Toney kept teasing Giants fans as soon as he arrived in Arrowhead Stadium, and he’s drawn a bit of a bad rap around the league for that kind of behavior.
He followed that by suffering multiple drops and mental miscues throughout the course of this campaign, drawing plenty of mockery and criticism from fans.
However, despite his well-documented woes, the former Giant believes he can be a WR1 in this league ‘as long as he gets the ball’ (via Odds Shark).
“Yeah, if I get the ball,” Toney said when asked if he was a No.1 WR in the league.

Whether that’s a shot at his team or not remains to be seen.
Toney has been tangled up in yet another controversy after sharing a profanity-filled rant on social media about not being hurt.
He’s been out since Week 15 of the regular season with an injury, and he was also excused from a playoff game to attend the birth of his child.
Coach Andy Reid claimed that he’s been hurt, but added that he’s also working through ‘some stuff.’
Toney logged 27 receptions for 169 yards and one score in 13 appearances this season, but his campaign will most likely be remembered for lining up several yards offsides in a potential game-winning play vs. the Buffalo Bills.
