The Kansas City Chiefs just had their worst season in the Patrick Mahomes era.

Even so, they still managed to make it all the way to the last game of the season.

Andy Reid’s team is that dominant and special, and they’ve proven that they can thrive when it matters the most.

Nonetheless, and despite some huge wins over the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens, NFL analyst Craig Carton still isn’t been impressed by them.

Talking on The Carton Show, the pundit stated that the Chiefs had ‘a nice little run’ in the payoffs that will come to an end on Sunday, adding that they ‘didn’t beat anybody all year long.’

“The Chiefs didn’t beat anybody in the regular season. They had a nice little run here in the playoffs and it all comes to an end Sunday,” Carton said.

Per Carton, the Chiefs are just a 17 or 18-point offense, and that’s not going to be enough to get the job done against the Niners’ elite defense.

He also talked about hypotheticals and how both the Bills and Ravens almost beat them, adding that they were shut down in the second half of the AFC Championship Game.

Carton might have some valid points there, but the game is about what actually happened, not what could’ve happened.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs got the job done, and that’s all that matters.

Their offense has been far from impressive this season, but all it takes is one play to find the ultimate glory in the biggest game of the year.

And after all they’ve been through, continuing to bet against Patrick Mahomes is a risky bet, to say the least, and one that hasn’t paid off very often.
