The NBA trade deadline is one of the most exciting times to be a fan of basketball.

After all, at this point in the season, most teams have already seen what their current rosters are capable of, but at the same time, they are ready to make some key changes to the roster.

Speaking of which, the Philadelphia 76ers could be active due to their recent slump in the 2023-24 NBA season.

The rumors were given more fire by none other than veteran NBA insider Brian Windhorst, who claimed that the 76ers could make around one to three trades, via NBACentral on Twitter.

“I would expect Philly to make 1-3 trades before Thursday afternoon,” Windhorst said.

Windhorst mentioned that he expects the 76ers to make not one, not two, but up to three trades by Thursday.

While it’s nothing new to see a franchise make a bunch of crucial trades around the trade deadline, the moves could be deemed a bit rushed by the 76ers.

After all, they remain the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-19 record this season.

There is a possibility that Daryl Morey is ensuring the team remains competitive while dealing with the injury to reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid.

Embiid recently suffered a knee injury that will keep him out indefinitely during the 2023-24 NBA season.

Prior to getting injured, Embiid was averaging 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game for the 76ers.
