The Kansas City Chiefs became a massive story during the 2023 NFL season and it had nothing to do with the football field.
The Chiefs came into the season as the reigning Super Bowl champions, but all the media and fans could focus on is Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
Kelce has recounted how he wanted to give Swift a bracelet at one of her concerts, but the two later became an item.
Swift’s fanbase is massive and began to flock to their televisions to watch the music superstar cheer on Kelce at Kansas City games.
The media coverage of Swift will be on full blast during Super Bowl LVIII and the thought of seeing her face as many times as the game already has some fans irritated.
However, Chris Berman believes that having Swift make appearances at games has actually improved the popularity of football via PFT Commenter.

The number of viewers for Chiefs games seemingly rises every week and Swift is the driving force behind the trend.
Although Kelce remains arguably the best tight end in the NFL, his relationship has spurred countless new football fans who now root for Kansas City.
Football has always been popular, but the league is certainly benefitting from this new wave of fans who are tuning in for Swift.
However, Super Bowl LVIII will take center stage on Sunday and even Swift’s presence at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas won’t ruin the excitement of another championship game.
