Bill Belichick’s reign as the New England Patriots head coach is officially over.

Belichick was the team’s head coach for over 20 years, and while he is a part of one of the most prolific dynasties in the history of any sport, change was needed.

The organization felt that Jerod Mayo would be the best person to replace him, who is now their newest head coach.

Steve Belichick has also left the team, as he has recently accepted a role with the University of Washington.

While it appeared that there wouldn’t be any more Belichick’s involved with the Patriots in 2024, Mike Reiss’ latest report indicates otherwise.

According to Reiss, Brian Belichick is coming back to the Patriots next season, resuming his role as their safeties coach.

The Belichick family will have some involvement with the Patriots for at least one more year.

Brian is the least well-known in the family, as Steve and his father have received the most air time, and have been more talked about in the media.

With both of them gone, this could be a great opportunity for him to step into the spotlight, marking his place within the organization.

The Patriots were one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, something that isn’t necessarily familiar for this historic team.

With any luck, a new regime will completely flip this team on their heads, and the defense and offense can work together to create a new culture of winning and positivity, which starts with the head coach.
