The New York Knicks were already doing extremely well but they could be getting a lot better because of their moves before the NBA trade deadline.
The team landed both Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks of the Detroit Pistons, two players who could greatly improve the team’s already-high chances of going far in the playoffs.
Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson hopped on Twitter to share his opinion about New York’s moves.
He believes the team now has a considerable chance of going all the way to the NBA Finals.
Johnson tweeted:
“With the Knicks acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic (averaging 20.2 points per game and 41.5% from 3-point range) and Alec Burks (averaging 12.7 points per game and 40.1% from 3-point range), I think they have a real shot of playing not just in the Eastern Conference Finals, but the NBA Finals!”

Bogdanovic has been a wonderful veteran presence for the Pistons during his two seasons with the team.
He has averaged 21.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists for Detroit and has reached a career-high with his three-point percentage.
As for Burks, he has averaged 12.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while playing for the Pistons.
Bogdanovic and Burks have been targeted by multiple teams essentially since they joined the Pistons but Detroit has held tight to both players and has refused to move them.
Last season, the team was demanding a major haul for any team that inquired about Bogdanovic.
Both of these veteran players could immediately impact the Knicks and make their roster even deeper.
These moves come at a very exciting time for the team, as they have been finding a lot of success lately and are currently the fourth-best team in the Eastern Conference.
They recently made waves by signing OG Anunoby and their trade luck continued with Thursday’s signings of Bogdanovic and Burks.
