As the NBA trade deadline drew closer, Spencer Dinwiddie suddenly became a highly-coveted player that multiple teams were interested in.
Now that Dinwiddie has been traded to and waived by the Toronto Raptors, he is weighing his options for what will come next.
According to The Los Angeles Times, per NBACentral, Dinwiddie is expected to choose either the Los Angeles Lakers or Dallas Mavericks following a buyout of his contract.

Dinwiddie will have a lot to think about as both teams offer him some unique perks.
He is a Los Angeles native so it might be very appealing to play back in his hometown, especially alongside talent like LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
However, he previously played for the Mavericks and was part of the team when it went all the way to the Western Conference Finals in 2022.
He has reportedly stayed close to the team and actually showed up at their latest game against the New York Knicks on Thursday night.
During the game, he was spotted sitting near Dallas’ bench and chatting with Mark Cuban.
The Mavericks give Dinwiddie a better chance at postseason greatness right away, and they can also offer him a bigger contract.
But the Lakers were in the Western Conference Finals last year and they could get better as the season goes on and have another strong run in the playoffs.
Plus, they would allow him to play in the city he grew up in, which is surely enticing.
Dinwiddie has averaged 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6 assists so far this season and could bring a lot to both teams.
Now he just has to decide which is more appealing to him.
