A new era has begun for the Los Angeles Chargers thanks to the arrival of Jim Harbaugh, their new head coach.

Harbaugh not only brings a history of rebuilding broken teams and making them into winners by building a winning culture, but he also has the gravitas to set his own agenda.

His coaching staff has largely taken shape — Greg Roman will be his offensive coordinator, while Jesse Minter will take on the role of defensive coordinator.

Roman was Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator when the two had plenty of success with the San Francisco 49ers about a decade ago.

NaVorro Bowman, a star inside linebacker for those Niners teams, is reportedly who Harbaugh wants to be his linebackers coach in L.A., per Ian Rapoport.

Reunion: The #Chargers are targeting former #49ers All-Pro LB NaVorro Bowman to be their new LBs coach, bringing him back together with Jim Harbaugh, per sources.

Bowman, a third-round draft pick, was a rookie in 2010, the year before Harbaugh arrived in the Bay Area.

He moved into the starting lineup the following season and was voted onto the All-Pro First Team as the 49ers went from a 6-10 record in 2010 to 13-3 and an NFC Championship Game appearance in 2011.

In 2012, they made it to the Super Bowl, where they narrowly lost to the Baltimore Ravens, a team that was and still is coached by John Harbaugh, Jim’s older brother.

Bowman was one of the leaders of a physical and savage San Francisco defense that also featured star linebackers Aldon Smith and Patrick Willis.

Willis was the leader of that defense, and on Thursday, it was announced that he will be headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2024.
