The NBA community expected the Los Angeles Lakers to be one of the busiest teams around the NBA Trade Deadline.

However, general manager Rob Pelinka didn’t make even a single trade to improve the current roster of the team.

It was polar opposite from the organization’s strategy last season, where they added multiple talented players to the roster and had a stunning comeback after the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Although the Lakers didn’t make any trades, they can still sign a free agent to bolster the roster after the NBA Trade Deadline.

In fact, Spencer Dinwiddie is currently one of the best players available in the open market, and the veteran guard was recently seen with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, which sparked rumors about his next destination via Hoop Central on Twitter.

Guess he’s a Laker, better than Gabe anyway

This is actually a good pick up. He’s a good facilitator off the bench and a better defender than reaves and Dlo.

Laker for sure

lakers fans are getting desperate for “spencer dinwiddie”

While there is no official confirmation of Dinwiddie heading to the Purple and Gold, the timing of his attendance in a Lakers game could certainly be a hint.

In fact, the viral image received mixed reactions from NBA fans.

There were a few fans who believed that Dinwiddie could help the Lakers in turning around their season.

On the other hand, the majority of the fans do not consider adding Dinwiddie to the roster as a major upgrade over their current roster.

Dinwiddie played in 48 games for the Brooklyn Nets this season, where he averaged 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game for the team.

The 30-year-old’s numbers aren’t that bad, but he has shot just 39.1% from the field and 32.0% from the three-point line this season.
